In late 2014 Jack and Lana were brainstorming for ideas to reinvent a
section of the store. In dedication to their fathers that served their country
they created "The Briefing Room", a mini World War II Museum.
Jack's father, Francis A. Wiese served as a CFC Gunner in the US Army Air Force,
58th Bomb Wing, 462nd Bomb Group. The 462nd was one of the first to take the
B-29 Superfortress into combat. He was stationed first in India, then later on they relocated to the Tinian Island in the Pacific.
Lana's father, Robert D. Felker served in the US Amry 101st Antiaircraft Artillery Automatic Weapons Battalion. Robert was stationed first in the Philippines and in Japan during the occupation.
The Museum contains actual artifacts and literature, personal journals, personal photos, and audio recording explaining events from the war, experienced by Francis
and Robert.
Admission is FREE.
